ReusePass is a borrow and return program for reusable containers
Once you join, you can use your unique ReusePass QR to check-out reusable containers from participating dining locations across campus.
Check your ReusePass account to see which containers you've checked out and when they are due back.
HOW IT WORKS
Receive your personal ReusePass QR when you sign up for the program through your campus
Have your ReusePass QR scanned at checkout when getting to-go orders in reusable containers
Return containers to a designated location on campus within 3-days
Order reusable containers with your Grubhub app
If your campus uses Grubhub, you can opt-in to ReusePass and order meals in reusable containers using your Grubhub app. When you order ahead, your unique ReusePass QR will be printed on both the order receipt.
Use the phone number tied to your Grubhub account to login to ReusePass so you can access your ReusePass QR and keep track of what containers you have at home and when they are due back.
As a member of the ReusePass community, your daily habits add up to create real environmental change.
Save waste from going to landfills
95% of plastics don't get recycled – even if you throw them in the blue bin! Instead, most single-use plastics end up in our oceans and landfills and bodies. Each time you choose to reuse, one less container goes to landfill.
Save greenhouse gas emissions from killing the ozone
The production of single-use containers is a resource intensive process. Each time you reuse a container, that means one less container needs to be manufactured, shipped over seas and delivered to your campus.
Save water from being wasted
Yes, reuse requires washing. However, this sanitization process uses less water than is required for the production of a new single-use container.
